Genre: first person stealth-action;

Release date: 11-Oct-2012 ;

Game progression: finished (2013) ;

Difficulty played: Very Hard Difficulty (+no killing) ;

Overview:

You are the once-trusted bodyguard of the Empress. Framed for her murder and driven by revenge, you must become an infamous assassin, known only by the disturbing mask that has become your calling card.

As you navigate a world torn apart by plague and oppressed by a government armed with strange new technologies, the truth behind your betrayal is as murky as the waters surrounding the city.

The choices you make will determine the fate of the world, but no matter what happens your old life is gone forever.

Features:

Dishonored features multiple endings, which are dependent on Corvo's actions and player choice throughout the course of the game.

Story:

Set in the plague-ravaged city of Dunwall, Dishonored follows the story of Corvo Attano, the last bodyguard to Empress Jessamine Kaldwin. Framed for her murder and the abduction of her daughter, Emily, Corvo is falsely imprisoned by the Empress' Royal Spymaster and usurper, Hiram Burrows.

Six months later, on the eve of his execution, Corvo escapes confinement with the help of a shadowy group of loyalists who seek to eliminate those involved in the assassination of the Empress and restore Emily to the throne. He is further assisted by an enigmatic god called The Outsider, who grants him Supernatural Abilities for reasons equally mysterious.

Corvo takes on the role of fearful and infamous assassin as he pursues members of the coup one by one--but whether he is out for justice or revenge is another question.

   I strongly recommend playing it without killing anyone as an added challenge, although things might get personal sooner or later and you'll probably  get the urge to murder a few people as you immerse yourself in the story. The game has a fantasy side and your abilities reflect that. For example you're going to be able to teleport short distances, slow time, possess small animals, turn foes to ash when killed to cover your tracks, and other supernatural abilities. The game has a few endings depending on how you handle things throughout your adventure.

 Pros: nice story that sucks you in a beautiful dark dark world, you don't need any DLCs.

 Cons: bit easy.

 Rating: one under-cooked rat, such is life...
