Genre: Adventure;

Release date: 30-Jan-2015 ;

Overview:

Life is Strange is an award-winning and critically acclaimed episodic adventure game that allows the player to rewind time and affect the past, present and future.

Follow the story of Max Caulfield, a photography senior who discovers she can rewind time while saving her best friend Chloe Price.
The pair soon find themselves investigating the mysterious disappearance of fellow student Rachel Amber, uncovering a dark side to life in Arcadia Bay. Meanwhile, Max must quickly learn that changing the past can sometimes lead to a devastating future.

Features:

  • A beautifully written modern adventure game.
  • Rewind time to change the course of events.
  • Multiple endings depending on the choices you make.
  • Striking, hand-painted visuals.
  • Distinct, licensed indie soundtrack.

   You play as an 18 year old photography senior who discovers she can rewind time. I really liked seeing the world through the perspective of the main character and for me it was the best part of the game. You can make some decisions here and there but they rarely hold any real weight. This is not the kind of game where you get stuck, it's much more like a linear story that you are a part of. The player can't save for whatever reason and checkpoints are too far apart, especially seeing how you can't skip as much stuff (dialogue) as you might want even though you have a "skip" button.

 Rating: (cool+2*meh+"why can't I skip this???")/4

 Recommendation: If you're into visual novels and don't mind time travel mumbo jumbo, it's a cool game.
